I think the main reason I’ve waited a while to write this review is that it
feels like an epic task to adequately describe the feast for the senses I
experienced dining at The Source. I can’t even really compute some of the less
generous Yelp reviews, because the two times I’ve eaten at this restaurant the
service has been beyond reproach and every single dish I was served fell along
a continuum of garden-variety delicious to blow-your-mind exquisite.
My special someone took me here for my birthday this year. For the most part,
he chose this place because it is one of the TOP recommended restaurants that
allow pets to dine with you! (We have two puppy terriers.)
Having grandparents from Mississippi makes me a hard critic on soul food
establishments. I like the food here but I can’t claim to be a fan. I’d rather
have the soul food here than no soul food at all and since my Granny no longer
cooks, Motor City it is.
We went inside and after waiting for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged
or having any signage indicating what we were supposed to be doing, a server
came up and asked if we wanted carry-out or were waiting for pick-up. I replied
that we were there to dine.
I went to Hominy Grill with my wife and her cousin while visiting Charleston
recently. We had seen this restaurant featured on the food network and travel
channel so it was one place we had to check out while in town and we were not
disappointed.
Great selection of quality olive oils, vinegars, and italian meats. Also,
Raymond who has a little demo station every saturday morning is really a
fountain of knowledge! It was a great way to learn more about olive oils and
vinegars.
Seafood City essentially has a mix of Asian and Filipino-influenced offerings
with practical products to serve a diverse population. The supermarket features
fresh seafood and meat departments, a wide selection of fresh produce, bakery,
health and beauty, as well as quick grab-and-go options. It carries a wide
selection of Filipino and Asian grocery items, as well as American products
that one would normally find in any supermarket.
I have been here multiple times and love it. The place is a hole in the wall
and the meals are made for sharing. They wait staff is real low key, which
makes sharing slightly more comfortable, if you are not accustomed to eating
that way. English is managed with difficulty, but they are friendly and eager
to please. Saudi and Yemenite television plays while you dine. Most of the
clients are Yemenites.
The mission of Simply Khmer Restaurant is to offer an appetizing Cambodian
style menu in a pleasant, appealing and cozy environment in Lowell,
Massachusetts. The foods are served in an organized, speedy and orderly manner.
Cambodian cuisine is relatively low in calories, high in nutrition, and tasty.
It includes many rice, chicken, beef, and vegetable dishes.
I ditched work early one Friday to spend the day with my other half a couple
weeks ago, because I had worked crazy hours the whole week and was just DONE. I
needed a girls’ day, dammit.
This place makes me crazy! I crave their pizza randomly at all times of the day
and night, and it’s not always convenient to get there from the ‘burbs’ at the
drop of a hat. So I come up with an excuse to get there whenever I can, and if
I’m already downtown I had better find a reason to get to Supino!
I haven’t been back, but I did look at their menu online. Holy SpongeBob!
Lobster Fra Diavolo is $69 and they don’t accept credit cards. So, if you take
your family of 4 to this joint and you each get this dish and nothing else, you
have to have about $300 in cash on you. Yikes!
Tia Sophia’s is one of the best places to eat breakfast, or lunch in Santa Fe.
When we’re up near The Plaza, we always come here for breakfast. The food is
good and there never seems to be a long wait to be seated. Parking on the
other hand can sometimes be difficult.
Now for the rest of their food. I really can’t give you a true review on it
because I haven’t tried anything else. All I know is what people tell me and
what I see. I see a good mix of Filipino food here and they definitely hook it
up. One things for sure, it’s cheap.
Whatever your reasoning for not adoring such a masterpiece of a fine “wet
tortas” (Estilo Guadalajara) served at this torta truck, then you are missing
out. If you are from the South Bay, you probably know of them which are right
off the 5 South and Industrial Blvd.
Such creativity and fun all wrapped into one dining EXPERIENCE. If you don’t
know about this place the wait staff are also the chefs, they rotate positions
every few months to another food group or waiting tables or back to food prep.
We arrived too late for the live music but the vibe was the best. Friendly
local dive with nice bartenders. Next day, on a tour, our guide brought us
here (coincidence) even though it was closed. He wanted us to see a local
place 2 miles away from the French Quarter. When I go back to NOLA, will see
Vaughan’s when the band is on.
If you can afford it, PLEASE do yourself a favor and go try the grand
omakase!!!! I know it’s expensive, but, it’s not just a meal, it’s an
experience! If you can justify paying $200+ for sporting event tickets you can
justify going to O ya!!!
I had a wonderful meal there last week with some friends. Even though we were a
table of 6 + a baby, the service was impeccable. Perhaps being there before the
late dinner rush due to Ramadan had something to do with it? Although, I’ve
been there several times before, and I’ve never had bad service.
