Even my mom would approve of their Spicy Pork Kimchi Fried Rice! I hope she doesn’t see this. Yes, my traditional Korean mom is an amazing cook and she makes “bomb” kimchi and kimchi fried rice. Good kimchi = good kimchi fried rice. Enough about my mom.

Allow me to backtrack….thank goodness my boo was driving because I would have easily driven past this place…well not really…it is painted hot pink..so I take that back. Ha. Walking in…we were greeted and told to seat ourselves. We decided to order the Fried Chicken dinner with 2 sides (lima beans, Okra soup) and the Fried Fish dinner with another 2 sides (white rice, okra soup) + cornbread. Note to my fellow yelpers: Come with an appetite!!!

Was last here about 4 years ago, and remember the kunafah being much better. It was ok this time - nice and gooey, but something was missing. On the plus side, they have a selection of sugar-free sweets. Think I’ll go back for kunafah instead to Shatila, which definitely has a larger selection and is nicer on the inside than Masri sweets.

We have great memories from our previous trip to Charleston, so we chose to reminisce at this delicious restaurant that we loved before. We stopped in for dessert and were seated shortly after our arrival.
