Crave
On my recent visit I enjoyed some of their hot chocolate which is only
available during limited times…I have to say that it just wasn’t for me - the
chocolate was a bit “sour” tasting and didn’t have the rich creaminess that I
usually enjoy. It was extremely thick and literally tasted like melted 70%
dark chocolate…that’s probably exactly what it was, but it just wasn’t for
me.
Nina Schmidt Sells established Smitty’s Market in 1999 in the building that
housed her father’s Kreuz Market for more than 50 years. The market sits in the
same location where barbecue has been sold in Lockhart since the turn of the
last century.
Awwwww Soluna. How much I love thee. Whenever I get a craving for some great,
leaning towards the interior Mexican food, ridiculous paella (weekends only-
Sunday to be exact), and the best chile en nogados I’ve ever put in my mouth,
this is the place. Picture raisin seasoned picadillo stuffed poblanos drenched
in a creamy sauce from heaven. Might I recommend the Platillo Mexicano?
I came here for breakfast because it’s walking distance from the Seattle
Center. Upon entering, I was surprised to see that my gloomy 9AM morning was
transformed into the loud, dark atmosphere of a 10PM dive bar, with people
eating breakfast instead of drinking. Since we had to seat ourselves, we
hovered about like vultures before finding a table that could seat my group of
5.
Great burger, very filling! I had half of a 1⁄3 lb patty on a wheat bun and I
could’t eat anymore. We ordered 50⁄50 shoe string french fries and the fried
onion strings, which were the ultimate killer! It came with a few dipping
sauces, and we basically filled up on that before our burgers even came. We sat
on the outside patio, under an umbrella on a beautiful Sunday morning, and our
puppy was laying in the sunshine. Now the burger I ordered was complete with a
delicious…
The Galliker Dairy Company was founded on March 25, 1914, when Louis Galliker
purchased the Shreve Ice Cream Company located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The
new company was first known as the Galliker Ice Cream Company.
I’m from Wisconsin and when visiting a friend we decided to go for dinner. I’m
glad she knew of this place because it was the little slice of home I needed
(as far as comfort food goes). Everything here is Wisconsin. All the beers
even.
I’ve fallen hard for Theo’s gingersnap caramel in milk chocolate. They pour out
a chewy molasses caramel, made with sugar, cream and molasses, which is a great
start. Then they dose it up with a heart and soul warming combo of ginger,
cinnamon, cloves, coriander, and vanilla. Made fresh with Theo’s top-notch
ingredients, this ingredient list alone would serve as perfect holiday fare.
But Theo takes it further, layering in allspice, cardamom, star anise, nutmeg,
orange zest, and…
Amazing Gluten Free options (and I’m the G-Free Foodie, I don’t just go around
saying that) - plus amazing options for you regular eaters, too. Cocktails are
perfection. Wine list is perfect. I’ll live here.
Some people think Di Fara is the best. Is it because they’re entranced by the
stage antics of the tiresomely wacky Dominic, the capo di tutti capi of his
Avenue J rat’s nest? Sometimes he’s burning the hell out of your pie; sometimes
he’s drenching it in olive oil; sometimes you have a pretty great pizza. Maybe
people are just amazed to learn that Brooklyn has lettered avenues and that a
pizza pie can cost $32 (at that price, it’s gotta be good, amirite?).
**Call before you visit so you can get proper directions to where they are at

Welcome to the home of the Cochon De Lait Poboy. You can enjoy your favorite
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Poboy year ‘round, even when it’s not
festival time! We can’t wait to see you at Walker’s BBQ in New Orleans East.
Don’t even know where to start with this review… Wish I could give a detailed
review of everything I ate but I kind of blacked out (or minor cardiac arrest?)
halfway through due too bacon overload. JK no such thing as too much bacon.
Sarah does a great job reviewing some of the standouts at the fest. Some of my
favorites to add on (although not limited to) are:
Best mint chocolate chip ice cream I’ve ever had. I go now just to get the
pints of it. It’s a great deal for 4 bucks!
Our cheesemaking kitchens, in Seattle’s Pike Place Market and the Flatiron
District in New York, are living museums where visitors witness the 5,000 year
old art of making cheese combined with a 21st century commitment to quality and
purity.
Had a great time here with my husband before the Grandaddy concert next door at
the Fonda theater. Good atmosphere, excellent beer selection, good grub and
nice service. What more could you ask for?
I had been dying to try this place for a long time, and I finally got the
chance. Yes, the sundaes here are pricey, but they are also really good. I
stopped by here with a friend for a treat. We split a Grilled Cheese and then
the Warm Brownie Sundae.
This place is badass. I love Central BBQ. Way better than TOPS and the
atmosphere is also top notch. The sauces are always warm and perfectly spiced.
I love all the food here but usually go for the BBQ Turkey plate. I jokingly
call Central BBQ the “Hippie BBQ Joint” but I mean that well… young folks
that love their job making great food and providing excellent service. Anytime
Im in the area (and there not a line out the door.. LOL) I try and stop and get
my BBQ Fix.
WOW flavors everywhere! So many choices, it’s probably impossible not to find
something you like. And then you have to figure out if you want a cookie bowl,
pretzel cone, dipped waffle cone, or plain sugar/wafer cone - overwhelming to
say the least.
So we had an issue with our delivery experience, but the customer service there
is amazing because they handled our situation wonderfully!! They re sent out
our correct order and didn’t charge us for the pizza’s and on top if it they
gave us 2 vouchers for free slices next time we come in. So basically we ended
up with a lot of pizza and it was great!
