Diners Drive-Ins and Dives
For great home cooking come to Matthews where it’s all about the food.
I’m a huge fan of DDD, so when we booked our summer vaca for WW I told my hubby
this was one place I def wanted to try.
It was so nice to return for a delicious visit to Meal Ticket three years
later. I once again had a pancake that was insanely good, berries once more I
believe. Easily the best pancake I’ve had.. how the heck do they make these?
Downtown for a meeting with The Clayman and Twisted_Majic recently, we
abruptly changed venues and darted into Meat & Bread. I had heard vague rumours
over high value, great taste, etc. You know, the usual stuff social media and
hipsters were created to spout.
As far as I’m concerned, the vegetarian/vegan options are as good as you’ll get
at any restaurant. Sure, there is more to the Memphis Taproom than a smoked
coconut tofu club sandwich, but if that’s what you’re in the market for, you’ll
be satisfied.
Gata love the Merritt Canteen, this place has a lot of history, started and
stayed in Bridgeport, CT there’s a reason the lines are long…the food is
good. They have all the good ol fashion stuff, hot dogs
hamburgers/cheeseburgers great fries, oh yea PEPSI :D haha, and some other
stuff like fish and chicken but I’ve only ever craved their cheesburgers and
hot dogs and fries, this place is about speed also the way their cashiers take
orders and the whole system tome is really…
In the mood for the Challah bread french toast and did not disappoint. You get
two thick slices of heavy/thick bread, and I opted for the juicy sausage (extra
cost). What a great meal for brunch. Good coffee also.
I can see why Metro Diner is such a hit. They have a fun menu and friendly
servers. And the portions are HUGE! There is no forgetting you are in America
when you get a giant plate of fried, unhealthy deliciousness plunked in front
of you.
I’ve been getting chili from Mikes for over 15 years now. Whenever I’m near
Ballard and it’s cold and rainy outside, I’m going to Mikes. I love there
chili. I’m not going to lie, I’ve eaten there chili and about 1 hour later,
upset stomach. Still when my body is craving chili, Mikes is were I go.
Traditional diner breakfasts and lunches in the South End with hours of
operation.
I found this BBQ truck in the bronx on the lot of an auto shop.. while shooting
over there. Great cheap BBQ and you eat it in the waiting area of the auto
shop… there is even a special ribs and an oil change $30.!
I decided on the Modern Hash, a scrumptious blend of 2 eggs, toast and potatoes
mixed with peppers and their pot roast.
We believe in 100% customer satisfaction, and guarantee you will be fully
satisfied with our tamales.
Loved the goat cheese guacamole. The cucumber margarita was amazing. Guava was
a little on the sweet side. And two margaritas in, the rest of my review is
kind of suspect…they don’t skimp on the tequila, but you sure don’t taste it.
aw this place inn DDD and had to stop in while passing through New Mexico. It
lived up to the hype. Awesome steak sandwich and Ortega burgers. Told the
server about our road trip and he gave us a couple shirts. Had a great time
and would definitely go again.
The Monument Cafe has to be one of the best restaurants in central Texas, if
not the whole state. My parents live in Georgetown, so whenever we visit (or
are just passing through) we stop at Monument for a meal. I’ve never had a bad
experience there. Their breakfast is fantastic, with freshly squeezed juice and
really good coffee. Their lunch and dinner options are all delicious. AND, they
have the best chocolate pie on the planet. Hands down.
Born and raised in NY and then living in the Philly area for 15 years left me
looking for a cheese steak which would remind me of home. After looking
endlessly for an “authentic” Philly steak and not having any luck, a coworker
suggested I head over to this place and check them out.
Morin’s hometown bar and grill and morins diner are one in the same. The diner
is to the left and has been in business for 101 years and the bar and
resteraunt are connected to the right. Anyway the food is very good. Big
portions and very reasonable prices.
Best lamb tagine ,couscous ,lamb kabab ,chicken kabab ,moroccan sausage home
made.
Take out only, so make sure you have somewhere nearby to eat if you are against
eating in your vehicle. Counter service was fast and friendly.
