Man v. Food Nation
I actually like this place better than Malibu Seafood Market Restaurant. It was
also much more packed even considering the fact that this place is much bigger
as a restaurant than Malibu Seafood. I like the ambiance better and the food
tasted better to me. Their fish tacos were wonderful and pair it with beer.
The Spudder is not a real looker on the outside, but if you want one of the
best steaks available in Tulsa in a casual setting, this place is hard to beat.
It takes its name after a machine that was once used to start oil drilling
operations, around which Tulsa gained early fame. You have to walk by such a
creature to get in the front door (which is really the back door), but the
thing is now in a fairly dilapidated condition.
We ordered their “award winning” side street kimchee fried rice and their fried
pork chops - way too much food for the two of us. As per other reviews, their
portions are huge. We picked the fried rice and pork chops due to
recommendations from friends, and from the many other reviews.
This is a traditional neighborhood dive bar that still is welcoming to
families. The menu is very creative and the food is terrific. Everything is
home cooking at it’s tasty, greasy best. The service is what you expect from a
neighborhood hotspot…friendly and fun. I have been there twice, once for
lunch and once with the family and I can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely Great! I love thier spicy grilled cheese sandwhich. It has just the
right combo of jalapenos, bell peppers, etc! Its my favorite!!!!!
My wife and I love this place. We were just there again this past weekend
sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful weather while eating our favorite
buffalo shrimp and enjoying nice frosty beverages. We noticed they added some
new TVs outside which will make this a good place to watch football this fall.
Let’s see, when will I be back in Savannah again so I can enjoy Tubby’s some
more?
I am glad I don’t live in Jackson because I would eat until I couldn’t get in
the door of this place.
I love korritos. I can’t fathom how anyone could not. I really wish more people
would embrace the burrito fusion trend that korritos have started. Imagine a
world where you could pick any major cuisine and get its star ingredients in
burrito fashion. White Rabbit has done exactly that with Filipino food, and I’m
forever grateful for it.
The staff is very pleasant and helpful particularly Norma. She really knew the
products. I ate the fried oyster with loaded baked potato every bite was
delicious. I was only in town one night if I were there another night I would
have gone there again. I love fresh tasting food and it was seasoned just
right.
Tried to go to Lito’s, but it closed at 5:00, so we went back here.
Loved the # 16 though it wasn’t as described on the menu. It was described as a
stuffed chile, and it was all chopped up and covered with cheese, not stuffed.
The tamale was just ok. We’ve had the tacos before, and really liked them.
This is as close as it gets to a real fish market here in Mobile. They sell
their seafood wholesale and retail. You walk in, pick out your own fish; they
will clean and fillet it for you at no charge (I normally tip a couple $$
though), if you wish to keep the bones and the head for fish stock - they’ll
pack them for you too.
Good atmosphere inside. I was surprised because if you judge the book by its
cover, your expectations may be low when you walk in the door since it’s
located in a strip mall.
Had some friends in from Australia. After a long, hot day at the zoo, we were
in need of a little nourishment and beverage before heading off to our next
venue.
For two vegans, my girlfriend and I ate pretty well at Sticky Lips. I remember
coming here in college and being floored by the fact that they had tofu on
their menu; since then, the vegetarian menu has expanded even further, and
everything on it seems to be pretty killer.
You would think that sweet potatoes all taste the same, but I’m here to tell
you that’s false. Sweet Potatoes Kitchen serves up the best sweet potatoes that
have ever graced my lips, without smothering them in marshmallows or other
crap.
If I lived in Tampa, I’d weigh 400 pounds, all because of this bus o’ tacos. 24
hours. A stoner’s paradise.
When I think of Saint Louis and its food scene, one of the first things that
first comes to mind is Ted Drewes.
Come an gittit! talking about the pulled pork! I went thru all my napkins. and
I sent my man to get more and you know what I used them all up again lol.. If
that aint a good measuring stick of what a good BBQ joint is i do not know is
what is.
Old school southern charm best describes The Brown Hotel.
Amazing service, staff, atmosphere and food.
Sweet Potato fries were to die for. My only suggestion is Red Bull at the bar
:)
When I walked in, it smelled like heaven! Well, my heaven at least…that sweet
ice cream parlor smell that I could live in for the rest of my life! I wanted
to try every flavor they had, but I ended up trying the minty chocolate chippy
and the dulce de leche de salte (salted caramel). They were both amazing! I
love everything about this place, yummy ice cream, great service and cute
decor! I think it’s worth a stop in if you’re in Louisville.
