Rachael Ray $40 a Day
I stayed here this weekend while doing the Pell Bridge Run and reserved the
room Priceline for $50…… so my expectations were not super high because it
was so cheap but if I was paying what some other reviewers paid for their rooms
I would not be thrilled! (more of a 3 star hotel…not 4)
Yes, the quality of the performances at the Pentacle tends to be highly
variable. That’s because the actors, directors, techies, etc. are volunteers
working day jobs. Everything you see is a labor of love, and labors of love
have a tendency to turn into soppy messes. It’s the risk you take when you buy
a ticket - you might see something awesome, or you might see something lousy,
or you might see something that looks like an art school drop-out
self-combusted all over the stage. The…
This is still my favorite place. I know it has it’s downsides(for me it’s only
the menu, strictly because Im not crazy about british food) Service has always
been excellent!
Being new to the Point neighborhood, we decided we needed to try the local
hangout for fellow Pointers (and maybe meet some of our neighbors.) We went on
a Sunday night, which was pretty quiet, and our server Joe was friendly and
prompt. In an old federal house, the interior is decorated with large sailboat
models and other nautical items. We were seated at a table at one of the front
windows, which was nice for watching the passers-by.
It’s pretty bad when people get online and write bad reviews for a place
because
“A lot of their stuff seems to be made on the premises.” Seriously?! This is
what’s wrong with America. I just walked into Shane for the first time tonight
and, as one small business owner to another, all I can say is… Thank You!
This is the kind of unique, fun establishment that makes Philly AMAZING. I’m
trying to curb my candy impulses until XMAS, but I did indulge in an…
On our first visit, my reuben sandwish was yummy – and the cup of potato soup
was good enough to make me rethink my own recipe! We went back for a seconds
the next day, and I had the hot lunch buffet – Excellent tamale pie, tender
steamed asparagus, a pile of cauliflower and zucchini roasted on a grill….
What a treat! My husband found a generous ham sandwich the first day, and a
leg quarter of a rotisserie chicken on the second pass. Both were reported as
-excellent!
Wonderful Japanese garden. I thought it was very easy to find (despite some
reviews here) and plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill. You can either
wait for the shuttle to take you up the hill or take a nice, refreshing hike up
the mountain (it’s not that bad, really!)
Heading out for the day, we wanted to have a good breakfast, so Word of Mouth
was going to be the destination of choice. I remembered I had heard about
Busick Court and something about Rachel Ray, so I decided we should try
something new.
Chicken and rice with a tomato sauce, AKA Chicken Shawerma, is what my friend
and I had. He ate all of his with a great deal of enthusiasm. For me I found
the spice taste not as good as Indian food but that’s a matter of personal
preference. You do get a fine quality and quantity of food here at Cafe Med.
Me and the bf went here on a Saturday evening while roaming the neighborhood
and shopping. They have a great happy hour that runs 7 days a week! we didn’t
try any of the food however those drinks we had were STRONG! more bang for
your buck, for sure! we each had 2 and they were really knocking us off our
feet. this is not a bad thing! lol..the place was pretty quiet for a Saturday
but I guess it was still early - the music doesn’t start until 8pm which seems
to draw a pretty big…
An outstanding baseball experience! From a parent of a participant – really
terrific experience. safe, friendly, clean. All well executed by the CDP
staff. Snack bars well run and not too expensive - could easily be set up to
gouge. Overall terrific experience as a parent, a baseball fan and just a
visitor.
Need a break from all that Shakespeare? These guys will do one-on-one
glassblowing classes. Jeff walked through the process, I asked him to repeat a
couple of steps, then he shepherded me through doing it myself. Very cool. Plan
ahead, you can’t pick up your finished piece til it cools overnight in the
oven. But I’m so glad I did this, and they were very helpful and knowledgeable,
kept me safe and made me feel like I was doing a good job for a beginner.
For Salem, I was surprised about the quality of this museum…as its like some
secret treasure that the city is hiding. Sure it’s not a huge museum…but its
big enough to spend a few hours in. And like I said, it always feels as if you
have the museum completely to yourself…which is so nice. This is a part of
the Willamette U campus, I believe, and so they run it nicely. Worth a visit!
But basically Mary’s is in the store that used to be THE STORE IN AMAGANSETT,
–The first Gourmet Food Store in The Hamptons or almost anywhere – which my
parents and three friends started at a drunken dinner party in the mid-1960s.
Many formative years spent watching some pretty strange goings on.
We had a long drive up from Manhattan and just missed the final brewery tour
(if you go during the winter, they’re every hour, not every half hour which
they don’t have updated on their website). We were able to still do the tasting
which was done by Alex and he was great! He gave us a lot of the information
from the tour that we missed which was fantastic. You pay $3 per person for the
tasting which comes with a glass, which is about a shot glass size. Loved
trying the different…
I came here three days ago after ice skating with friends for a birthday party.
I had originally planned to follow their restaurant week menu, but decided
against it since it was somewhat limited in choices.
We ate here because we were given a 10% off token after making a purchase at
the Christmas store next door.
I’ve been to Sen a few times, and I have to say that they have really perfected
the idea of crunchy spicy tuna in their “Garuda Roll.” It is quite excellent-
with all of tobiko, scallions, crunchy flakes it’s a cornucopia of textures to
go with the spicy flavors. The other food is good too- I usually go for the
salmon teriyaki- but it isn’t… excellent. To be honest, I do think that the
prices are a little bit out of control for what it is. I’ve gotten…
It had been a few years since I visited Slyman’s, and my wife had never been
(she’s not from Cleveland, it’s okay). We wanted to sit down and arrived at
about 11:45am on a Monday. Within two minutes we had sat, ordered, gotten our
water, and been delivered our coleslaw. Within five minutes we had our food. It
was wonderful. We split one corned beef sandwich with a side of coleslaw and a
side of fries. Knowing the portion size, it just didn’t make any sense to get
two…
Production is done only at our two Brooklyn locations in small batches.
The original location, in a landmark fireboat house on
the Fulton Ferry Pier, features one of most sweeping views in America,
the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan skyline & Statue of Liberty.
When we could not make enough ice cream to meet the demand at
our original location, the Greenpoint, Brooklyn factory was opened in 2007.
