Since Im not used to fancy, I was kind of nervous just walking in off the
street for dinner. As soon as we walked in, the hostess greeted us with a warm
amazing smile and was more than happy to find my boyfriend and I a table with a
view.
Our mission is to engage people of all ages in the joy of sailing, offering
access to all Nantucket’s youth, and teaching every participant in our programs
enduring life and leadership skills, with a deep respect for the marine
environment.
The combination of super fresh ingredients, combined with fresh baked in-house
bread is a serious force to be reckoned with. I would highly recommend the herb
bread, and unless you’re really starving, go with a half sandwich as a half is
the size of your standard make-at-home kind.
If Ketchum were a theme park (and it totally is), The Kneadery (pine and
taxidermy; bustling) would be its signature cafe-and-gift-shop.
The staff was amazing! They really went out of their way to make me happy.
The renovation has been done in a tasteful manner; not obscuring the charm or
idiosyncrasies of the older building. As is usual in older properties, the
rooms are different sizes, so make sure you know what you’re getting.
We have rented bike from Young’s every time we come to the island with our
family. This weekend my husband and I brought our bikes and one needed air.
They were friendly and helpful even though we were not purchasing anything from
them. Best customer service ever! thanks!
We were in a rush so luckily, my one GF was able to at least give hers away to
some folks at the next table, however, mine went to the trash can.
After visiting Waipio Valley lookout, next stop was Tex Drive In. I had no idea
what my fiance was doing here at the time as we rolled up to the drive thru
window. He ordered two plain sugar malasadas. That’s it.
Best Vietnamese I’ve had since leaving southern California. Everything was
delicious. The service was super attentive. We had shaking beef- bo luc lac,
pho, cha trung (meatloaf), and egg rolls. Wanted to go back, but they were in
renovations.
A great place with a fun, island atmosphere and friendly staff. Everyone was
very attentive and helpful. The food was unique and tasty. I had a Vietnamese
noodle salad, which was fresh and tasty. We were all too full for their amazing
looking desserts, but they offered mini versions of many of them, which allowed
us to get little two-bite treats.
This place is in service from Breakfast until way after dinner with live music.
Loved the attention we received both from our waitresses and the management.
Importantly, the food was delicious and the menu with great variety at a very
reasonable price. I love when a menu serves pasture raised local beef. Thank
you Charlies!
Be sure to try their mud pie, not only delicious, but gorgeous as well, again
from a local ice creamery.
It would be a good idea to make reservations because this place gets packed
out.. however if you show up (even though you made reservations) you may get
seated earlier than what they told you on the phone (just be kind enough to
tell them to take your name off of the reservation’s list)…
Just left there after picking up an egg custard pie,
6muffins-hummingbird,Carmel banana, and fruit. Let me start with the pie. The
very BEST custard pie I have ever eaten and I’ve eaten plenty. This has the
true home made eggy taste I remember from too long ago.
The muffins: very, very good. Having tasted the pie I had to find out if the
baking there was equal to the pie. I cut a sliver from each flavor muffin and
am truly happy.
This will be my bakery from now on. I’m so glad…
I’m a hippie from California and ever since moving here, it’s hard to find that
eclectic mix of Southern & “hippie” food. This is the perfect spot for me - I
love it. The food is awesomely delicious and the staff is great.
Before a yummy breakfast each morning (the stuffed French toast was incredible)
coffee and newspapers were available in the living room. In the afternoon sweet
tea and refreshments were waiting for us when we got back from several hours of
strolling the historic district. Prior to dinner each night, hors d’oeuvres and
wine were waiting for guests to enjoy.
I have been three times and each time the food was good! The chicken livers
appetizer is enough for a meal! You can eat out on a nice patio in warm
months. Be careful if the acorns are falling!! They do have umbrellas though
so if your there in the fall when this happens get under one.
This review is not about food… Because there are no words in any language to
describe the deliciousness and exquisiteness that is Mrs. Wilkes. How this
place is not rated 5 stars across the board is beyond me. There’s is absolutely
no reason why it should be any lower.
Oh my goodness.. In honor of my contradicting New Years resolution of 1)
enjoying life more and 2) eating more sensible and healthily, I decided to stop
back on by Savannah on our ride back home once more to visit the Savannah Candy
Kitchen. Twenty dollars later, we walked out with licorice, rock candy, coconut
patties and pralines.
The food was pretty good (it’s Argentine, so what do you get? EMPANADAS).
Also, the person providing the service was very friendly. Fairly priced. An
all-around good choice if you like empanadas and other foods from Argentina.
