This is the first time I have been back since the renovation, and I have to say that the atmosphere is much better. There is so much less clutter, and seems much more clean, and spacious. Were were seated right away, and our server was very friendly.

I’ve been told that this place had a really gaudy, cheap Italiano motif inside before Restaurant Impossible got its hands on it, so I’m glad that they were able to tone it down to make it a comfortable environment. The decor now is minimal and I’m just fine with that - we’re here for the food, right?

Awesome pizza since re-opening. Can’t recommend the braised veal enough. My kid can’t get enough of the stromboli. Tiramisu had lots of mascarpone. New lasagne is really good too. It’s as good as before, with less cheese so the flavors of the homemade sauces shine. Love it.

We went here because of the episode of Restaurant Impossible. We love 30 minutes away in Northside, and own our own pub in OTR.

One of the owners, Yvonne (I believe,) reminded me that they only handle breakfast meals on the weekends due to their closure at 1 pm, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the sights and sounds of satisfied eaters everywhere you looked–from the front counter to the seats facing out towards the window, I overheard plenty of laughs and compliments of the food being had by one and all!

I tried out The Whistle Stop in Hot Springs today. I had seen in the newspaper where they had been visited by Robert Irvin and his show RESTAURANT IMPOSSIBLE.

Great food!!! Great dining area. Would recommend new staff- they seem to move at a slower pace than needs for the resturaunt rushes.
