OMG. So i’ve been to Brenda’s twice. I went with my bestie Rey and also with my
bestie Michael a second time. I always order the fried chicken benedicts. They
are amazing. Their sweets and coffee are to die for. I am not a fan of the
wait but it happens because everyone loves this spot. I think next time i will
try a different plate.
This place is amazing and stands out in a city that is known for great
restaurants.
We stopped into John A’s for dinner before heading to the nearby Grand Ole
Opry. It was a fun warm-up for the evening. We started off with the fried
pickles, per the many recommendations here. They were a great way to begin and
went wonderfully with the beer! The Catfish was everything it was advertised
to be…moist and cooked to perfection. Being sensitive to highly spiced items
and fried, we had it broiled and it was GREAT! We also had the Prime Rib,
which was served exactly…
My fiancé has been wanting to try LT for a while and we were happy to get seats
at the chef’s bar. I always love seeing “behind the scenes” and we watched Matt
create all the pizzas in the brick oven. We started with the mussels. They were
delicious and the sauce was light and garlic-y, just how we like it. I ordered
the sweet potato gnocchi and he ordered the Pig pizza. Both delicious as well.
Ya can’t go wrong with brick oven pizza. The skillet chocolate chip cookie…

Then, G. Garvin travels to Comfort where award-winning chef Jason serves local
ingredients with his own style, and shares his techniques on preparing braised
pork and sides in his ‘comforting’ restaurant.
The attitude behind Dickie’s counter is as delicious as the food. At mealtime,
the order line moves fast, and if you hesitate when it comes time to say what
you want, expect to be glared at, maybe yelled at, then – if you are still slow
– ignored.
