Sandra Lee's Taverns, Lounges & Clubs
This place has one of the nicest ambiances for a nice bar/lounge to go out with
your girlfriends or for an intimate date.
This was quite possibly love at first sight! Everyone knows how much I love
beer, and this is an amazingly wonderful place, especially for Downtown DSM.
My first visit to Epic was for a friend’s birthday. I have to say that I don’t
spend a lot of time in bars like this late in the evening (at least I haven’t
in a long time!)
Do you like getting crazy drunk at a low price in a neat, tropical location?
Then Hala Kahiki is the place for you! My friends go all the time and I was
finally free on a night that they were planning to go. The drive was about 45
minutes away, and I started getting kind of nervous because it looked totally
shady on the outside, like a little shack and I thought I was being deceived by
my friends. Oh, how appearances can be deceiving!
One of my favorite places to go during the summer. A true cove, hidden before
Zuma and a real sweet spot to go relax, have a drink and eat dinner.
Atmosphere is really nice! Beautiful lighting, decor and view. I threw my
brother’s birthday party here last Saturday and it was phenomenal. The bottle
service was wonderful, although pricey, it was definitely worth the money.
Everyone who came had a great time. I am truly happy that I decided to throw
the party here! Definitely will come back one of these Saturday nights!
Love this bar. You’ll probably come here once and think that it’s not for you,
or find yourself becoming a regular. I fall into the latter category (I was
crowned the “duke” on yelp after my visit last night if that tells you
anything).
This is an awesome chill lounge to go to if you don’t want to go to the other
uber hip trendy, guest list only bar downstairs. This place has a bowling
alley, unique drinks, board games and a photo booth. Elegant, classy and
hidden. This is a gem amongst the uber trendy.
Came here for the dining experience, and what an amazing time. It’s different
than any other dinner and show I’ve been to, and it’s really by far my
favorite. After checking in, you’re greeted with a complimentary “welcome shot
“. You’re then told to wait in the bar, where you can order more drinks and
enjoy some horderves. There’s a few entertainers walking around that you can
snap photos with, men dressed in Victorian attire with face paint…
Anyways, great atmosphere and decor. Cocktails are amazing and the bartenders
know what they are doing. They are professionals. Go to a bartender named
Francisco. He is so fast and precise with his skills, he is like a high skilled
assassin but at a bar. I gave him a taste preference and concocted me an orange
type drink. Great place!
Perhaps there’s just way too much expectations with this place or perhaps the
whole mentality going here is different with some than it is with others. First
off, this isn’t your normal dancing/club - it’s one gone full country. Line
dancing, cowboys and cow girls… Maybe even a few girl cows. Yeah, I’m
judging.
Living on the eastcoast and have done a lot of partying in NYC, lived in SoCal
for just about 3yrs and this place is hands down the best nightclub I’ve been
to in LA!!! Period!!! Ambiance = Fantastic, Staff = Excellent and Friendly
(which at a nightclub is unheard of), Drinks = Not too pricey but typcial for
LA, Cover Charge = Love the fact that guys & girls pay the same price to get in
(no special treatment). They have guy and girl dancers in the club, several
different locations…
Came here with a gilt city deal with 3 of my besties for an early graduation
dinner… From appetizers to dessert we were all please and satisfied. The
appetizer platter and dessert platter came with 4 different items… We each
got a entree and two drinks a piece the best one is the baseline. The food is
top-notch n will definitely come back with a deal!!
I had wanted to go for a really long time and I finally was able to find the
time. We went on a Friday around 6PM and were able to find an awesome table
outside. It was kind of windy, but nothing too bad.
We had a selection of sides (corn, cucumbers, plantains, cole slaw) and loved
them all, and I went with 3 tacos: portobella, chicken, and baja fish. To my
surprise, the chicken was by far my least favorite, to the extent that I would
not order it again, but the other two were so amazing that it had no effect on
my experience. I want to eat them right now.
Great Asian Fusion Pizza, plus other American dishes. It has been nationally
renowned in Huffingtonpost and other news publications, so you know it’s good!
Rum Punch Bar and Cuban Small Plates Restaurant.

The epitome of intimate, chic dining. Lingering over fine food and drink
throughout the night, allowing the music to set the perfect mood, and realizing
the best things in life should be yours. For entrees, we had the NY strip and
the diver scallops. The scallops and accompanying cauliflower were cooked
perfectly, my only caution is that when they say lemon sauce it’s a seriously
lemon sauce (I’m more of a beurre blanc fan myself). The strip steak was cooked
as ordered and came with…
