The Best Thing I Ever Ate
I’ve never been to the farm, I’m not even sure if you can go to it.. but
anyway, their products are so good! Their chocolate milk is amazing, it’s like
a milkshake except its just chocolate and milk. And around the holidays they
have eggnog which is equally delicious.
Felt like venturing off this evening and going to this restaurant that we heard
about that recently reopened by the original owner. The original name was La
Viola. Now it is Roasario’s (named after the owner).
I always get the Carol C. special (1 Breast, 1 waffle). SO GOOD! I always make
sure to get smothered potatoes and mac n cheese……omg their mac n cheese is
hands down my favorite mac n cheese EVER. It’s so good that even people who
don’t like mac n cheese try it and like it! Oh and of course, I can’t forget
the sweet tea.
Quite a while ago I wrote a quite lengthy review of this restaurant and babbled
on and on about all the reasons I love it so much. Well, it’s time to update
my review and declare to the world that I’m still in love with this place!
I’ll try and keep this update much shorter than my previous one and if you’re
bored and want to read for 5 minutes you can read my prior review, but this
time I’ll try to keep it a more reasonable length.
I first heard about Russ & Daughters a few years back while watching a rerun of
‘No Reservations’. I absolutely love this type of (quality) cured Salmon and
Gravlax, which doesn’t exist where I currently reside. On my last day of my
Manhattan visit I had the choice of either going to the top of the ESB or to
venture down to the Lower East Side for some smoked fish. Sorry Empire State
Building, maybe next year.
The Vegas Strip is full of fine dining establishments and other good
restaurants, but I have to say that Sage is probably the perfect place to start
off the night with a little bit of class. While I’m pretty used to fine dining
in NYC, upscale dining in Vegas really is a totally different animal.
Everything is brighter, glitzier and more glamorous. And dare I say, more
expensive?
Salty Tart exists so you can go get some of the best cupcakes baked into this
world. You should be grateful. I know I am.
Easily one of my favorite spots on the UWS. This place is a combination of a
high end italian deli and wine bar… I mean who doesn’t like wine and
meats/cheese?
I had this place bookmarked for awhile after seeing it featured on Food Network
(Best Thing I Ever Ate - samosas). My boyfriend and I finally came here the
other night to pick up some Indian food for dinner.
Someone else described Sant Ambroeus as “casually elegant.” I would have to
agree. It sits on a quaint street corner of the West Village…truthfully the
stretch of W. 4th between W. 10th and Perry is one of my favorite areas of
NYC.
Sarcone’s makes the rolls that set the hoagie standard in Philadelphia. So how
could the sandwiches from their deli be anything less than five-star worthy?
This is a wonderful restaurant with an open layout separated by a floor to
ceiling wine rack. The service is great and the manager is always happy to see
me. I’ve had at least 6 meals here since moving to the beach and it continues
to come up in conversations as one of the best, not only Italian, but dinning
experiences on Miami Beach.
I seriously can’t come here more than once a year. Otherwise I would have gout
for sure because almost every choice in every course is so delicious you have
to try it.
Kind of expensive but good. Showed up for a late dinner for two around nine on
a Saturday night. No reservation, got seated in about 20 mins.
I didn’t know Potato Salad could be sooo good. Maybe it’s the mustard seed as
secret ingredient?
Every time I come to Seattle on a daytrip, I end up having to rush back to the
border, eating some stupid crap on the way. But this time, I was overnighting
it, had the time to wait for a table, and thus determined to put some Serious
Pie in my face. Finally.
As usual, had the bbq french fries, which are always incredible…but this time
went away from their famous Polish Boy and went with the Louisiana Hot Sausage
with chili and onions…Gotta say, simply amazing!!
It’s not the best (read: fancy) burger but it’s got something special. 4
pieces of fried cheese on top. Just fold it under the bun, add some ketchup,
mustard and some onions (which often seem as though they were cut up MANY hours
before I spoon them onto my cheese pile) and enjoy.
I got the corned beef hash that people were hyping about in these reviews and I
thought it was okay. The sandwich wasn’t big but the price sure was. If
anything, it reminded me of The Hat’s pastrami dip (back in California) and how
that would’ve only cost me a little more than half as much while getting 2-3x
the portions.
Went here on a weekday at about 11am for breaky with two of my friends (we were
all playing hooky!). I had seen the doc and read all the crazy reviews and had
been wanting to try this place for a really long time.
