The Best Thing I Ever Ate
As a bonus, the service is prompt and friendly, the dining area is extremely
pleasant, and the place is BYO. Prices were SO reasonable for the amount and
quality of food. Can’t wait to go back (…and write an update while the meal
is still fresh in my mind!)
This is one of those places with tons of hype, and I honestly thought it was
going to be the Buca di Beppo of sandwiches. Well, I was wrong.
My favorite chocolate in NYC. I sampled the truffles and actually had to SIT
DOWN from the shock of being blown away with the taste, texture, complexity,
and LOVE put into these chocolates.
I love Keifer’s in Belhaven, but this is the first time that I have visited the
downtown location. I passed on my usual order of gyro because everyone kept
telling me that the burger was the best in the downtown area.
Every Mexican restaurant I go to I always get the huevos rancheros. These are
much for flavorful than the ones at Carnitas Queretaro. These are like the ones
at the Malinche, which use a cheesy based sauce.
More like a fish burrito. There’s some kind of magic in the sauce. …perhaps
some crack?
Thursday is my favorite day of the work-week because a Kogi truck parks up
across the street from my office.
After much time on my bookmark list I finally got over to Kuba Kuba. Showed up
on Saturday around 11:00 am - I really liked how their menu stays the same
until dinner time!
Amazing dinner - probably the best of the 2012 - but what else would you expect
from a restaurant of the chef of the century?!
Not the most attractive place but i guarantee its the most attractive piece of
carrot cake.
I honestly haven’t tasted any better, and i ALWAYS eat carrot cake anywhere I
go.
This wonderful little place warmed my cold Soviet heart. Yeah, there are tons
of cookies, cakes, pastries, baked goods, everything by the pound.
Don’t listen to the haters! I am not sure where the negative reviews are coming
from, when I went there with some coworkers it was absolutely, hands down, THE
number one best food I have ever eaten! The experience was so fun and memorable
I even took pictures and posted them on Facebook! I even took the time to
upload them to photobucket right now JUST so you all may see the bliss which
was La Casita!
Let me start off by saying that the food at La Goulue is definitely worthy of
five stars. My husband and I enjoyed everything we had - tuna tartar and beet
salad apps, chicken paillard and smoked duck breast entrees, and a few glasses
of the house wine. So delicious and did not expect to be so happy after using
a Travelzoo deal voucher!
The wait staff was nice and friendly and sat us right away at a table outside.
We noticed that dogs were eating next to their owners as well and a staff
member informed us that the owner is very dog friendly and offers free range
chicken for pups for just one cent!
I have been eating here since being in my mothers womb. This restaurant has
sheer old school class. The place looks the same as it did on Little Santa
Monica and Beverly. The food is top notch. The whole neighborhood comes here
for the spaghetti and Leon’s chopped salad!!!!! I think if I had to classify
one salad as my favorite, this would be the place.
I had the greentea mille crepe cake! I see why people rave about this one,
since it’s very delicate and delicious! The greentea flavor definitely comes
through with layers and layers of soft crepe.
I still haven’t exactly figured out how to review all the places I go to… but
don’t eat what they’re “known for” because of my affair with
veganism/vegetarianism. Oh well!
What can I say that hasn’t been said before? The food is simply, delicious.
Every dish we had was perfectly portioned, prepared and flavored to create a
unique, complex kaleidoscope of flavors I’ve never had before.
I literally dream of the dijon mustard served here. my husband and I stopped
here for a leisurely lunch on a monday, and it did not disappoint.
We loved this small little pastry shop! We read the reviews, and heard from
friends about the food network “Best Thing I ever Ate,” so we were game.
