The Best Thing I Ever Ate
We wanted to stay in Downtown Dallas to be near the arts district and away from
the holiday traffic on I-75, and we selected the Adolphus because of its
history (we like a vintage hotel from time to time). I read reviews in several
locations online, and I was concerned. Having spent a couple of days there,
though, I am pleased to write that I am a fan.
How cool is this truck?! No fuss, no lines (sometimes I do see them)
I have a $5 bill in my hand and I’m trembling as I ask for a Salty Pimp.
I’ve been to many but I don’t think the customer service was as great as the
one here. Our server, as well as another one, checked up on us often enough
(where it wasn’t annoying), refilled our drinks and made sure we were okay.
Maybe they were extra attentive since it was a Wednesday afternoon with not
much foot traffic.
I love the Ace Hotel. When we arrived they were still cleaning our room and the
guy at the desk tried to point us to the seafood restaurant. After having just
spent a week in New Orleans, we were having none of it and decided to try The
Breslin.
The steak and baked potatoes are are good. It is not my favorite steakhouse in
the Memphis area. But, the service is always great and the location is perfect
to take a walk down to Beale. So if you are downtown I would definitely give
them a try.
Party of eight last night. Good service, delicious food, smallish portions.
Wine list inexpensive but varied. I would go again, assuming someone else was
picking up the tab.
ew Years… our friends party gets canceled due a sick family member. We
already have a sitter lined up. Where shall we go??? Philly of course. 90
minute drive
If you are looking for a fun, flirty, or unique piece of jewelry, check out
dandelion! They have some simple and elegant items as well. You can find
several pieces in the $20-$40 range, but you could also find some
splurge-worthy, special occasion (or nice gift) items. They also have stores
in Ardmore and Mt. Airy.
I stopped counting the number of times we’ve been to the Dillard House. We were
on our way to Gatlinburg TN, taking the back way up through Cherokee NC, and
decided to stop in for lunch.
I’ve been looking to try this place for quite some time. Well, since I met
Greenspan during the taping of a Gordon Ramsey “Kitchen Nightmares” episode a
year ago. Thanks, Yelp, that was fun! He didn’t recognize me, but I wasn’t so
vain as to expect that he would.
A friend was visiting from NYC, had heard of Greenhouse Tavern, and made lunch
reservations for us to catch up. I’ve been to Greenhouse a number of times, but
somehow it’s my first review. I really enjoy the place - it doesn’t make me
walk away wobbly kneed, but it’s terrificly creative and delicious.
We have had many meals here over many years. They have always had great food
and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is always experienced and friendly.
The Harvest is one of the best comfort food restaurants in the Glens Falls
region.
We came here on our Sideways tour after visiting a few wineries on the same
tour as well. I was anxious to come here and see where part of the movie,
Sideways, took place. Now, Buellton is not a big city at all. Its more like a
small town, but when we walked into The Hitching Post it seemed like every
single resident in the town was eating here that night. lol. It was like a town
meeting. So I knew this place had to be good. You can’t tell though when you
walk in - low ceilings, sort of…
My boyfriend and I are huge wing buffs and he’s always hearing about the Jug
Handle on sports radio. I grew up nearby the Inn but never made it inside so
we decided to check it out for some New Year’s day wings and beer.
Ermahgerd…Paula Frikking Deen! When I first moved to the US, I was so dang
bored whenever my husband went to work. If I wasn’t hitting up the gym or local
Beaners (pardon me, Biggby), I’d be holding Food Network marathons at home
watching this crazy Southern lady cook up items I was dying to try.
I’m sure that I cannot come up with anything original that hasn’t been said
already about The Modern. So, instead, I’ll just have to echo what others are
saying and add my own color to it. After speaking with Ryan Pernice, the
owner/general manager of Roswell, Georgia’s Table & Main restaurant, we were
very excited about dining at The Modern during our Holiday trip to NYC.
The Monday Room is the study in the home of Public a Michelin rated restaurant
and bar. I can’t tell you about the food because I didn’t have the pleasure of
eating however, I can tell you about the drinks, the ambiance and how the two
go extremely well together.
Alton was right. This establishment is home to the best fried chicken you will
ever eat. I don’t care who you are or who your mom was. Mr. D beats you. The
man produces perfection embodied in fried chicken. It’s a work of art. You must
go, but I warn you: no other fried chicken will ever taste as good as long as
you live.
When we booked our vacation, several friends and family members recommended the
Olde Pink House, so we booked a reservation for our last night. Definitely book
a reservation in advance, for when we arrived they were turning patrons away
left and right.
It was pretty busy when we came, however the waitress was very kind and polite.
I’m not a huge fajita/taco fan but this place was really good. What makes it
sooo good? It’s when the onions and peppers hugs the slices of juicy beef,
sleeping in a warm and freshly made tortilla. Yum~ Of course, you have the
usual sour cream and guacamole - but you don’t even need that, it’s naturally
perfect (perfect is not a vocabulary that I use so freely =P ) Hmm.. not quite
sure if…
