The Best Thing I Ever Ate
My mom and I headed to KRS for our special, holiday (and babyfree) dinner out.
I had been wanting to dine at a Rathbun restaurant for while and can’t believe
it took me this long.
There’s no tutti fruity names like The Californian or The West Virginian found
here. You’ll only find those concoctions at that other hot dog place on the
other side of town.
There place is great, plain and simple. Their food is amazing and the drink
selection is wonderful. Ray’s is a restaurant by day, bar at all times. There
are two floors each sporting it’s own bar.
I haven’t been to this place in a couple years since I moved out of TN, but I’m
glad to see that others seem to confirm it still has it!
One of my favorite Milwaukee spots! Good chili, always hot and delicious.
Really friendly staff and usually open late. I get the hot with all the sides
and I get a 2nd helping to go pretty often. They usually offer me a to-go cup
for my beverage since they have free refills. Always reliable, reasonable, and
consistent. Great for our cold winter months in the MKE, or a great hangover
cure.
I’m not sure what else can be said at this point that hasn’t already been said.
This place was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant was really cool (I
like that it was a big, open space, but it wasn’t overly noisy). The wine
selection was outstanding (according to our server, they pride themselves on
offering good wine at reasonable prices). And the Blood Orange Margarita MIGHT
be better than the ones at Benjy’s. I know. I know. I couldn’t believe it
either.
CLOSED
If I could give August more than five stars I certainly would. My experience
was outstanding from the minute I entered and was presented with an amuse
bouche, until I sipped the last drop of moscato and ate the final piece of
chocolate chess pie.
There aren’t many restaurants that my gf and I visit multiple times during the
same trip. When we visit some place new, we like to try to get a fair lay of
the land. However, with foie gras being illegal in CA, there are only a few
options in Memphis.
The beef heart was delicious- the aoili on the plate was the true star, though.
Thinly sliced, heavily breaded- it went extremely well with its plating.
Wow! Revel is one of those spots that is people are always talking about. It’s
a hot spot. it’s unique. It’s Korean fusion. To be honest, I didn’t really know
what to expect. I was blown away by the unique menu offerings, large portions,
and the nonstop flavors.
I was not a fan of rice pudding until I came here. I had rum raisin and it was
delicious. I had the smallest portion size and it was more than enough for me.
When I went in here, the smell of chocolate was so amazingly overwhelming that
I became totally varklempt. I could barely speak. I was shaking, on the verge
of hyperventilation.
We tried the Lavender and Salted Caramel flavors. Both selections were packed
with flavor compared to any other ice cream I’ve tried.
I did not expect to find such a gem in an unassuming strip mall locale in South
Jersey. When I lived down the road, this little pan Asian seafood restaurant
was my favorite restaurant in South Jersey. Well, I guess it still is, though I
don’t live there anymore. I have taken dates, friends, and family here, and
have always had spectacular food, service, and overall experience.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is so delicious and fresh and
the atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and warm. I have never been disappointed with
my meal or the service and I’ve been to Riva about 8 times now. The lobster
ravioli as well as the chicken, broccoli, penne seem to be my go-to although my
husband loved the scallop risotto and braised short ribs.
This place is about as off-the-beaten-track as they come. There used to be a
small sign on Interstate 10. The address is Breaux Bridge but is actually
several miles away in Henderson, Louisiana. It is right next to the Atchafalaya
Swamp. Henderson is famous for two restaurants. Pat’s advertises more and has
really good food. However, Robin’s food is sublime. Their crawfish bisque is
food of the gods. This is a roux-based bisque not cream based. A full meal in
and of itself. The…
Roc lunch is so-so. Had the salmon & shrimp, was a bit dry. Roc dinner is
awesome! Love their salmon/spinach/potatoes. One star off for consistency -
sometimes the salmon is overcooked, other times it’s undercooked…might just
be my experience with seamless though.
Roman candy has been a fixture of New Orleans and a fond memory of many a local
child. I grew up mostly getting this taffy-like Nola creation at Audubon Zoo
where there is a stationary cart. Living out in Metairie I rarely saw the
mobile cart on the street, pretty much only during Mardi Gras.
Visited Ronnie’s for the first time today on the recommendation of my barbecue
connoisseur co-worker. As this was my first visit, I decided to get the sampler
plate, which comes with two ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and two wings.
