But wait, I finally braved their lunch rush and inhaled “The Lonza”: a ham,
mustard and spicy slaw sandwich that was gone in under five minutes. The best.
I have to admit some shame in passing some undeserved judgement on Do or Dine,
even before approaching the restaurant – crazy menu, crazy reviews, delivering
an overall message that was so eccentric I didn’t know if I could handle it.
Domenica’s happy hour alone stands to receive 5 stars. Located in the Roosevelt
Hotel with an entrance on Baronne we walked right in and were seated at the far
in end a corner booth. The seats were comfortable, but that’s not what we came
here for.
I totally recommend stopping into this store if you are in Kennebunkport.
Everything for sale is personally made by the owners and one of them is always
manning the store.
Went today, but forgot my phone so I didn’t check in. In this day and age, how
in the heck can anyone forget their phone????? But, I decided to enjoy myself
anyway.
Love the ambiance, very yummy guac + chips and perfectly made margaritas– I
had the resposado and my friend had the house and both were YUM.
Omg! the thoughtful love put into the flavor and texture combinations brought
me to tears… literally… my guy laughed at me lol! delicious is an
understatement. Tried 6 things off the menu… left fullll! server was super
cool. Atmosphere shabby chic & chill. Mixed crowd of hipsters, yuppies, out of
towners & brooklynites. sat all the way upstairs, was cozy & small… we loved
it.
Wait a hot minute. Donuts AND fried chicken? Sounds too good to be true (or
good). But it is AMAZING.
Another one I can’t believe it took me so long to review. Ive been here far to
many times to count. The other night I was set to meet a group of people,
including one friend who loves to hate on this place, “its overpriced man, I
can get the same stuff in Houston for….” Were not in Houston! That being
the case, I can be reasonably comfortable in my declaration that this is still,
and has been for some time, the best BBQ available in New York City. As a
native New…
Since our move to the east side, we’ve been trying to find places close to home
to enjoy. Fire has been fitting that bill for us with one exception - we
really only enjoy sitting at the bar.
Pretty much empty on a Saturday night around 8:30, but I’ll take a break from
the crazy crowds of Las Vegas.
Three friends and I came here for the happy hour deal (unlimited classic,
dijon, or fra diavolo mussels with fries, plus half off select beer and wine)
and we were not disappointed.
I didnt know this was owned by Richard! I LOVE Top Chef, so seeing his name
attached only made me happier. I love the pairing of burgers and beer and flip
burger does a good job of that.
Since the time of my last review, I have gone to B-Spot twice and returned once
again to Flip Side. After two so-so burgers at B-Spot, there is absolutely no
doubt in my mind that Flip Side reigns supreme in the NE Ohio burger wars.
We took our two girls (7 and 10) to this quaint, candle lit spot. The feeling
was casual and easy going. While I felt the portions were quite small, the
flavors and great service rounded out a lovely family dinner.
Fore Street is my favorite restaurant in Portland, and, if it was located in
the middle of the West Village, it would be my favorite restaurant in New York
City.
The only thing better than living around the corner from Frances would be
having enough money to eat there whenever you’d like.
I had never had Texas barbecue before coming here, and i was blown away. We got
there at 9:30 and there was already a line. We were eating by 1230 and it was
well worth the wait. We had brisket, pork ribs and sausage and they were all
amazing, particularly the brisket. The only regret i have is not buying a pound
of brisket to take back to where we were staying. You get two sides with plate
meals as well. The staff are super friendly and come out to the line and sell
beers and soft drinks as…
I have to admit, I was a little let down once I finally made it to Hot Doug’s.
I mean, it was good, but I didn’t understand the hype. This place is like Hot
Doug’s, but better, without the insane, outside line.
The only real negative thing I can say about Gather is that it is extremely
pricey. But the food is soo good that it’s worth the indulgence every now and
then. We came here for a late lunch and ordered the local lettuces salad, the
fried egg sandwich, and a pizza. I loved all of it.
