Unique Eats
Their fireplace, wood oven is definitely a reason for San Franciscans to cross
the bridge. The dishes take on a lot of the char flavor from the wood.
Something we can’t get in the city due to restrictions.
Guess what, I have had a million of them now - thanks to Caracas Arepa Bar. It
is so frickin’ good that I could eat it every day, but my wife won’t allow me.
If New Haven is Connecticut’s food mecca, then Caseus may well be the capital.
Whether it’s the to-die-for grilled cheese, the brilliant, complex specials, or
the tender steak strips, you will not be disappointed.
I am a picky restaurant goer because i work in the industry.
Reallllly popular place for brunch. Plan ahead! We had to wait forever to get a
seat and that’s waiting for birtch and barley AND churchkey…this had an open
seat for us first.
This Churrascaria is about as authentic as I’ve found outside of Brazil (not a
native Brasileiro, but I visit frequently and love the culture). It’s important
to realize what you’re getting here: authentic appetizers and a never-ending
stream of carnivorous cuts washed down with Brazilian beers and / or Cachaca
cocktails. And it’s expensive, probably slightly more than you would pay for
the average NYC steakhouse, but you’ll never leave hungry.
We tend to seek you out on Friday nights when we are nearly fried from the work
week and in dire need of alcohol and good food AND convenient parking (the
boylston garage with parking validation).
I’m not a fan of ice-cream. I eat it about once a year. I already had mine on
vacation until last week’s Inferno week happened. After a particularly grimy,
sweaty train ride I saw an oasis and I drank.
They really take care of you. The crostini are delicous - my favorites are the
ricotta with orange honey and radicchio with goat cheese. Definitely eat a few
crostini if you go here!
We just wanted our morning coffee! Their cappuccino machine was broken and all
they had was REGULAR coffee and tea bags.
Don’t listen to Richard C. below. Chicken has always been the cheaper protein
so why hatin?
The food was hands down one of the best restaurant meals I’ve had. Every single
bite was a flavor explosion. Each one was like a while new experience. The
meals were clearly very well thought out and expertly crafted. Yes, it’s a bit
pricy, but it’s totally worth every penny.
Really? Are you gonna make me get on my knees in adoration? The Frenchie Burger
was completely, utterly, out of this world. Slap me back to reality and put me
on a plane back to the ATL because I can hardly stand it.
Been meaning to try DBC for a while…It was pretty AWESOME. They don’t take
reservations, so when we showed up for brunch on a Sunday we were quoted 35
mins. We ended up waiting 15-20 minutes tops (a pleasant surprise). It took
our server about 10 minutes to great us, but she was super friendly, so I
quickly forgot about it.
The message I’m getting is Jonathan Rapp deserves a slap on his back. And I
will most likely go out of my way to patronize his restaurant The River Tavern
in the future. So kudos to Jonathan.
Went with some girlfriends to catch up over dinner. Was the perfect place to
do so. Tables aren’t too close together and the restaurant is a cozy size.
Music is very low so you don’t need to strain to carry conversations.
Absolutely loved it! The simplicity and down-to-earth vibe is perfect. The food
is top notch. The drinks are wonderful and the staff is knowledgeable and
friendly. The whole place exudes comfort and quality. I would very highly
recommend as much to a foodie friend as I would to family.
I love American Cupcake. The cupcakes are amazing and the service is
impecable. I stopped in here tonight around closing time to pick up some
cupcakes. Allison helped me pick out a dozen cupcakes for a friend’s birthday.
She was super helpful and friendly. There were a couple of flavors that only
had a few cupcakes left but Allison graciously offered to make me more of any
flavor I would like. This was surprising to me since it was almost closing
time.
So I was laying in bed this morning and all of the sudden I started salivating.
I tried to figure out exactly why this was happening to me and then I
remembered…I was dreaming about Arancini Bros. nutella rice ball. Normally,
one would not think that rice and nutella go together (even though nutella goes
with pretty much anything). In this case, it just works: sticky rice, coated
in cinnamon sugar, and molten hot nutella gushing from the inside. My mouth is
watering just thinking…
Anyone who has a review here that has lowered the rating due to the price is an
idiot. It is HIGHLY publicized that Arrows is expensive. You knew then when
you booked - so your fault, not theirs.
