Robin’s Restaurant

This place is about as off-the-beaten-track as they come. There used to be a small sign on Interstate 10. The address is Breaux Bridge but is actually several miles away in Henderson, Louisiana. It is right next to the Atchafalaya Swamp. Henderson is famous for two restaurants. Pat’s advertises more and has really good food. However, Robin’s food is sublime. Their crawfish bisque is food of the gods. This is a roux-based bisque not cream based. A full meal in and of itself. The eggplant pirogue – a seafood casserole is great.
