Asia Cafe San Diego

After going to other Lao restaurants in San Diego, I decided to give Asia Cafe a try. I’m really glad I did. Definitely a hole in the wall place but they have really authentic Laotion food!

I ordered “to go” the Thum mak thang -Spicy(cucumber salad) instead of the usual papaya salad. It’s not on the menu but since it’s a mom and pop place they still made it for me. It was really good. I also took the advice of the other reviews on Yelp and tried the Nem Khao. All I can say is WOW! It reminded me of what my parents used to make at home. I also got the Lao beef jerky and that too was really tasty.

The staff is really nice and friendly which is always a plus. If you haven’t been here and like Laotion food please give this place a try. Also, the neighborhood isn’t too scary in the daytime :) .

Overall I was very impressed with the food, friendly service and CHEAP prices and will definitely order from here again.
