Pampas Bakery

Pampas is a small, family-oriented business tucked into the bottom of a shopping center. You have to keep a close eye to find it, but it’s worth the hunt. The baked Argentine goods: alfjores (puff pastry with dulce de leche) and empenadas are awesome (I prefer the beef to the chicken). You may have to wait a minute or two, but probably more because this is a Mom & Pop operation, so the owners do everything…just how I like and what I grew up in. Also recommend the Beef Milanesa.

Recommend if…
A) You have never eaten an alfajore…delicioso!
B) Have a hunkering for fried meat (milanesa).
C) Want to support family businesses, which always tug at my heart.
