THE INN AT STONINGTON

This place is really beautiful - simple, tasteful decor- I could live here! We had a smack down room - huge and a stunning view through French doors, leading to a private balcony with Adirondack chairs. The king size bed dominates the room, which was fine with me, considering that my husband and I were on a little holiday without our children ;^). The jacuzzi bath was delightful. We missed the wine/cheese party; we had our own - enjoyed a spectacular sunset on the balcony. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Slept like a queen in that decadent bed! Breakfast was continental, but on steroids. Delicious coffee, homemade pastries and breads. Fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt - all good.
Had a lovely conversation with another couple - it is a place where people interact, which I love.
