Sixth Engine

I’ve been coming here since about the time they opened and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s just a hair more upscale than the other places in the Gallery Place area, and it might seem a little more expensive, but it’s absolutely worth the good service and stiff drinks.

Cocktails: come here now for these. The menu is so well crafted and always changing. Just watch the bartenders make a drink, which is the only way to appreciate how much effort goes into the quality. The beer selection is consistently a good variety–not the same old stuff.

Service: the bartenders are always friendly and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re accommodated; whatever manager is in charge that night always comes around to make sure we’re having a good time. Today, I asked for some honey mustard, which they didn’t have. Jason, the bartender, went out of his way to mix up some honey and mustard. It’s that great here!

Food: pretty good, perhaps not amazing. Brunch is better than the dinner menu, but it’s all good. You won’t be disappointed if you eat here.
