Ray’s Sausage

Ray’s sells souse, sausage and head cheese and is available in many smaller inner city grocey stores here in Cleveland. Their food tastes just like you would expect. If you wait, you can often find their products on a BOGO deal near the end of the week. Half-price sausage is not meant as gourmet fare.

My previous review mentioned that when there were eleven dead bodies next door, Ray’s owners told neighbors they would replace the drainage traps on their sewers in an attempt to deal with the smell. It was true. In fact, everything in the review was accurate but my friend David B took offense at the smart-ass tone and had Yelp pull the review which they did.

I don’t mind… but just because somebody feels sorry for a sausage manufacturer doesn’t make their food clean or wholesome. I hope no one takes offense with this review because I’m not sure I care enough to write another one. Besides, this time there’s not even a hint of humor in the review.
