I took my gf here for breakfast and nothing has changed from the last time I
was here. Other than the fact that they were missing out on some of there
specialty coffees. Instead we got the house coffee. The food is great. I
like to get a Thai Cobb Salad, really fresh and nothing you would expect. It
is light and a great brunch dish. I can’t remember what my friend got. We
also got a side of fruit. The coffee came out when our meal was almost done,
so to compensate the coffee and…
Antique Taco is amazing. Get the fish tacos, chili cheese curds, and a pitcher
of margaritas and nothing will be wrong in your life after that.
Last month, my mother brought me to Atera for a three-hour multi-course dinner.
It was quite an experience, theatrical and lively, with pricey tickets
purchased in advance. Service was impeccable, and the food was fun and often
delicious.
I’ve not tasted one mediocre item on this menu. Por Qui’s Buns (pork belly
buns), the Tongue Bun (roasted beef tongue), the Curry Bun (Peanut butter curry
in a deep fried bun), and of course the Beet Home Fries, which you’ve already
heard a ton about. There’s a good reason for that. They’re effing delicious.
Just be careful because there are times when they come out EXTREMELY hot.
After watching the first airing of Edelweiss on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives I
knew I had to visit! Fresh, home-made sausage and I haven’t heard of this
business yet, are you kidding me!
I moved away from Chicago about 8 years ago, and was back in town for a work
conference. I ventured out on a blizzardy miserable February evening, and sat
at the cozy bar away from the cold and had an amazing meal!
Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to this restaurant. A friend brought me here
after seeing it on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. And I was maybe a bit skeptical
based on that fact. However I loved the food I got a Pulled Pork Arepa. The
pork was tasty, but the corn pocket they put in is absolutely delicious. Crispy
on the outside moist on the inside it makes for a perfect little sandwich. We
also got the Yuca fries. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but whatever it
was they exceeded those…
My bf chose to eat here because it was on Diners and Drive Ins. This place is
located right on the corner close to downtown. My bf and I sat inside in the
corner table where we got to enjoy the view of lots of different types of
people walking by… It was interesting.
I’m giving this place a 5 because they were super friendly, much unlike most of
Portland’s restaurant/bar staff. They greeted us when we entered and made
small talk with us while we were sitting at the bar. The three gals who were
working today were genuine and had great personalities.
You know. Yesterday was my birthday and as much as I wanted to go here again
(would have been my fourth time) I got swayed by the hype of the Screen Door.
Regrets regrets regrets. I was sad that my birthday food experience was one of
MEHdome.
Had to go with the Reuben. Normally, pastrami is fatty and chewy, but this meat
was super-tender and amazing. The price seemed a little high at first, but the
portions are huge (two whole pickles, if you’re into that sort of thing) and I
don’t know if they keep Reuben’s pre-made in the back (it tasted right off the
grill), but our order came to the table in less than 5 minutes. Wow!
Restaurants like Nopalito are arguably one of reasons I live in SF :) Pure
bliss from meal start to meal end.
I met the owner of this restaurant years ago when he had a small pizzeria near
my work. The pizza was so good I made sure to go there at least once a week.
One day he told me he was closing the shop and I was upset I wouldn’t get more
of his pizza, which tastes like true east-coast style thin crust. When he said
it was going to open a full Italian restaurant I got excited, if a guy from
Jersey makes pizza this good I knew he must be able to cook up some great
Italian dishes….and was…

Do I need to tell you how the tomato salad, a simple menagerie of the freshest
vegetables and a bit of bacon, serve as an excellent combination of textures
and as a substantial but light start to any meal?
Miss Myra’s is completely laid back, no frills, smokin’ yummy barbecue. You can
probably buy your aquarium fish here, too, and make it a twofer.

Just got out of lunch at the downtown Birmingham location of Jim n Nicks –
fantastic! We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted with a basket of
warm cheddar biscuits…crack them open, watch the steam rise, and pop a few
down the chute!
“Ooh, baby do you know what that’s worth? Oh heaven is a place on Earth.”
That’s what was playing in my head when I stepped into the Muncan Food
Corporation. I swear I gained ten pounds just from smelling all of the
delicious smoked meats. My salivary glands are on full blast just typing this
review!
