The food is fresh and very good most days, and the other reviews cover it
mostly, but i wanted to point out to those who are sensitive to it or have
dietary restrictions - WAY TOO MUCH SALT. I’ve been coming here since I was a
kid and still take my grandparents and kids here, so I obviously love it, but
just thought folks needed to know that.
Wow! Can’t say enough good things about this place. I have eaten here before
and remember being really impressed but after being reminded by Andrew Zimmermn
about this little gem, I had to go back.
This place is a Birmingham institution – my grandfather has been taking me
here since i was little. The food is nothing fancy but really authentic and
good. They have every kind of seafood you’re looking for.
This place was featured on Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel which is what
brought me to check this place out. The place itself isn’t anything fancy but
boy do they know how to bake up some great eats! Check out the samsas and meat
pies and the melt-in-your-mouth breads at this hidden gem! I’m ecstatic I live
within walking distance away and look forward to returning soon!
I sometimes have a macaron madness descend on me and in a neighborhood
surrounded by chinese bakeries this korean style bakery chain is a solid choice
for my needs. They sell one of the biggest macarons I have seen. They come
individually packaged in their own little bubble like the best kind of snow
globe setting. This place is not Bouchon by any means but they do sell very
light tasting and fresh pastries that never disappoint. The price is a bit
higher but the quality makes up for it.
As much as I hate lamb meat, I always crave for their famous spicy cumin lamb
noodles whenever I come to Biang. Maybe it’s the combination of all the awesome
grease, salt and spiciness offsetting the unpleasant lamb flavor that I always
despise. The hand-pulled noodles have the perfect chewy texture with enough
“heat” to give you that tingly feeling that makes you want more. I always feel
like I’m eating Rapunzel’s hair since the noodles stretched endlessly so…
First off, I’m not sure that the name change is appropriate. Edibles IMO was a
horrible name for a restaurant, but it did indeed have a reputation among many
Horshamites. I don’t think “Hurley’s” is a much better name, for the obvious
pun reasons. The signage is also rather plain and disinteresting making this
poorly tucked away location all-the-less distinctive.
How does a restaurant with C-grade Dept. of Sanitation and highly priced food
get 5 stars, you ask? When it’s Fu Run, I say. If this is what C tastes like,
then I dun wanna B right *digs into bowl of rice*
Amazing transformation. We ate here before and know what was and now what it
has become…
This was one of the finest meals and restaurant experiences I have had in
recent memory and I ate all over New Orleans this past couple weeks. This is a
beautiful restaurant. The fireplace was lit and it was homey and comfortably
elegant. The french farmhouse theme was wonderful. I thought the chairs were
pretty uncomfortable but that was the only negative thing I can think of saying
about this place.
Always have a great time, don’t go as often as we did before, the food is not
as accessible as before. But still a great time, but in a different foodie fun
way.
Amazing food.
Phayul is a good introduction to Tibetan food, if you have never tried it.
This place is actually on 72nd and Broadway. The first time I tried to go with
my bf, we ended up wandering all over Jackson Heights before we called and got
the correct address!
Xi’an famous foods surprises me a lot! After living in the States for 2 years,I
can say Xi’an famous foods is as great as the burger you can get in Xi’an.
I enjoy coming here for my grocery shopping or grabbing a quite bite.
Wow cant believe i have never heard of this place before. Tuck away in
industrial kalihi this place has a great selection of poke and hot foods.
We stopped here on the “ Hole in the Wall” tour and enjoyed their fare. Wanted
to try the duck but sold out. We had two kinds of pork…really good. Many
locals coming in for food while we were there.
Like the old okazu and saimin Mom and Pops of decades past, crack seed stores
are also hard to find. I remember running to the store down the street to buy
our favorite li-hing seeds and candies, but now there’s commercial grocery
stores and specialty stores.
Finally was in the area and my brother took me to this spot that he’s been
raving about. And oh my gosh he did not lie. I ordered the #7 roast beef and
pastrami not knowing that it was THE sandwich to order. Mmm! We got here around
11 and thankfully missed the lunch rush. No wait, plenty of tables, hot
sandwich, friendly peeps, and even a washroom to clean the deliciousness off my
hands and face after my meal. Eastside is definitely a hidden gem. I can’t wait
to try the other…
