I always buy fresh fish from these guys, usually Moi. The have a great
selection of fish at decent prices, and they’ll clean it for you. Compared to
the other fish vendors in Oahu Market, and in Maunakea Market, I prefer these
guys - it seems they have better selections of fish. Get here early to get the
best picks - close early - around 1pm on Sundays - maybe couple hours later on
weekdays.
Absolutely my FAVORITE shave ice spot since I first tried it a couple years
ago. I don’t always get to make it in, but when I do, I know EXACTLY what to
order.
In a word - YUM! On our recent trip to Oahu, the BF and I made a point of
seeking out local flavors and the “hole in the wall” (HITW) establishments that
know how to do it right. We happened upon Tersty Treats, and it proved to be
the hands-down-best-spot for poke.
I’m sure after the “Triple D” segment, everyone is flooding Yelp to see if the
hype about The Park’s Finest is actually true and yes ladies and gentlemen it
is! I’m almost sad that there will be crazy lines there now, but couldn’t be
happier to see this community business get introduced to so many people who
didn’t know about them before.
This place may be small and obviously not as popular as boiling point, but you
surely cannot judge based on those aspects. I came here a few times and it was
never a disappointment. Portions were big enough to make me very full. Last
time, I ordered a spicy beef hot pot. The only problem was that there were only
three big beef slices in my pot. Nevertheless, it was a much more affordable
meal compared to Boiling Point and the portions did not disappoint me. They
also had or still have this lunch…

Addicted to this place. So tasty, healthy and a very cool vibe. Its a hidden
gem in the heart of Leucadia. I have only had the fish tacos with rice and
beans, but its the best fish taco in San Diego!!!
I’m not sure what it is about Happy Garden that I enjoy so much but it gets a 5
stars from me. It’s home-style Taiwanese cooking where you can do family style
and get entrees such as 3 cup chicken, spicy pork blood & intestines hot pot,
etc. or you can opt for noodles and pork chop rice. They’re all delicioussssss.
The food was excellent. Unfortunately it was a hot evening and there were 100s
of flies gathering outside the door where we were sitting (the large room to
the right as you walk in, near the front door) and enough of them got in so
that there were flies on every person and enjoying every dish along with the
rest of us.

I’m not a vegetarian but came here because an aunt of mine is. However, I have
to say the food here was DELICIOUS! We ordered so much food and not a single
dish was considered bland! This is definitely a place I’d return to (with or
without vegetarians)!
I’ve been coming to this place for years every time I visit the area. I think
it’s as-good-as-you-can-get for Taiwanese breakfast here in the States (at
least on the West Coast).
Known for Indian Pizza!
Definitely a strong front runner for the best burger I’ve ever eaten.
