Totally one of the best pizza places around. I love their perfectly oven
grilled pies. It comes out hot and sizzling, and truly makes your mouth water.
A true taste of fresh gourmet product is made totally clear with their slices
from heaven.
My wife and I come here about once a month. We are not BBQ fanatics but that is
one of the best things about he place- they have a little bit of everything.
Kelly’s Little Nipper is a total dive, and an amazing find. From what I
understand this place has been around since the ‘40’s and is housed in a former
grocery store. It was started by a guy called Nipper, and bought by a guy
called Kelly. The new owners haven’t added their name, and they haven’t changed
the menu. If anything, it sounds like the food has gotten even better. This is
a local bar through and through–a juke box, a pool table in the center,…
This is a must stop for me in Iowa. It summarizes my mindset: eat as much food
as possible, especially pork products.
The whole zombie thing is cool. The surly waiter thing is cool. The whole place
is cool. But in that NOT cool kinda way. The burgers are down home good. Weird
combos, lots of carmelized whatnot. Poutine. Meh a little pretentious but
whatevs, you are trying to be cool so I gets it.
A very good selection of Swedish item including…pickled herring & cheese
plates, Swedish meatballs and perch. Also alternative menu items for those not
so adventurous. A definite must visit if you are in Door County.
The outside of the restaurant is totally unassuming in a strip mall next to the
DMV. I live half a mile behind this place, drive past it all the time, and
never once considered coming here. Then I attended a post-baptism luncheon
here, and while I can’t speak for the regular restaurant service, I would most
definitely look to Bartolini’s if I needed to host a shower or other small
event.
I think of this more as a Nightclub rather than an Italian restaurant, hmm.
Anyways, this is a semi-small nightclub. No huge majestic staircase, no huge
long winding corridors, just a simple layout with the bar, couches/ lounge
chairs surrounding it, and a dance floor down a few steps. Positives: you
won’t lose your friends in here!!
We are still talking about the amazing meal we had at Maroni Cuisine and its
been four days.. We attended the Saturday night full tasting for $125 a person
including beer and wine. And when I say wine I mean good wine. they served us
as much as we wanted and let us very our selection as the meal progressed.
These meatballs are DELICIOUS!! My company had some executives in from out of
town. We wanted to give them a “true philly foodie experience” so we decided
to have our lunch catered by Marabella Meatball’s (MMCO). Some of our
employees had been there before and raved about it so we figured this was the
perfect opportunity to try it out!
We stopped in after the Halloween parade, and the place was empty. The only
other face we saw was a man stopping in to get a hurricane before going right
back out the door. But this isn’t a criticism; it gave us a chance to talk.
Not sure what others mean by it tasting frozen–it doesn’t. Their food is very
fresh. This place is great. Easy to understand menu. Really nice interior as
far as small Italian restaurants go. Super friendly staff. Seems like their
takeout business does well.
Just an update - I have added a star. I have gone back several times since my
initial review. They have improved greatly since my first visit. Try their
gyro Greek salad, it is really good.
My husband and I have eaten at Fish Tale a handful of times - every time we’ve
been impressed.
This restaurant is adorable….it’s decorated with historic photos of the
Huntington area, many of them from the railroad. There are booths along the
walls, tables in the center, and a lunch counter with vinyl covered stools. I
traveled to Huntington for work, and decided I HAD to eat at the “birthplace of
the Hoosier Pork Tenderloin sandwich,” even if that meant I wouldn’t be able to
make it to the Dan Quayle Museum.
Make it a point to drive a little further and have yourself a wonderful family
style meal. Parking is no problem due to the large parking lot out back. I have
only been here for lunch and dinner but it always puts a big smile on my face
and I enjoy the family dining aspect of the meal. I usually get the wiener
schnitzel which is simply delicious. My favorite sides happen to be the corn
and the cottage cheese with green onions mixed in.
I could tell the place gets busy, but there was a good amount of space at the
bar, which is where I prefer to eat at Cuban places. You get a good view of the
servers’ hijinks with each other, not to mention the wide mix of tourists and
locals walking in and by.
Best grits in town, Love the lemon ice box cake (save room) Also, the brunch is
always something special. The service is great! Meatlfoaf, firied chicken, mac
and cheese, turkey and dressing, fried okra all 10 stars.
After spending the day digging at Jamestowne, my wife and I decided to take the
long way home through Isle of Wight County and stopped again at the Smithfield
Inn, this time for dinner.
Perched alongside the Columbia river, with panoramic views of the gorge, hills,
and Botanical Gardens, Windseeker diners experience exceptional Pacific
Northwest cuisine with indoor and outdoor patio dining.
